What makes caremare special (USP)

caremare stands for premium natural cosmetics with highly effective marine algae active ingredients, dermatologically tested, COSMOS-certified, 100% vegan and packaged in upcycled Ocean Bound Plastic.

1. Where does all the plastic in the ocean come from?

The majority of plastic waste comes from land and enters the sea via rivers, canals, wind or directly from beaches. Industrialized nations are primarily responsible for the plastic flood, as they dump huge amounts of their waste – sometimes illegally – in developing and emerging countries.

2. Is the packaging made from ocean plastic safe and hygienic?

Yes. The Ocean Bound Plastic sourced by #tide ocean material is cleaned multiple times, sorted and processed in an EU-certified manner. All product-contacting parts are made of FDA-compliant materials (Food Approved). Learn more on our Sustainability page.

3. Does ocean plastic have an odor or affect the product?

No, the material is odorless and does not react with the cosmetic formula.

4. Is the packaging recyclable?

Yes, all packaging is 100% recyclable and bears the Green Dot.

5. What about quality, testing and animal testing?

All products are dermatologically tested, undergo stability and efficacy tests, are cruelty-free and 100% vegan.

6. Are there any NGO partnerships?

Yes, we donate a portion of our revenue to marine conservation projects (Iberian Orca Guardians Foundation).
